Spotted in my usual lunch spot. Never seen one of these cute little guys in the wild before.
It’s been rainy in Boulder lately. I just got my telephoto lens repaired. Thus I have this photograph to share with you all.
The first championship round of Pikes Peak International Raceway’s Time Attack series took place almost two weeks ago so here I am to talk about it. That’s me up there in the green Miata running in RB, the slow RWD class. There were 72 drivers in my class and 272 drivers overall. Lots of cars.
There isn’t one.
I really love my Miata’s Emerald Mica paint. I kinda bought this watch to go with it.
Finally got a nice enough weekend to pull the Miata out of winter hibernation and take her for a quick spin around town. I didn’t get a chance to wash her before putting her away for the winter, so I gave her a bath, too. Figures that cloud cover rolled in about mid-wash.
I may not own my 323 GTX anymore, but that doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate 3/23 Day! Here’s a lovely photo of Jeff Zwart ripping up a rally stage in his GTX.
I’ve been keeping my eye out for a deal on full-frame Nikon cameras for a while now and finally found a D700 at a price that was easy to swallow. Stopped on the way home to try it out for the first time. I need to spend more time with the camera to really get used to it, as there are way more functions on this D700…
My Mazdaspeed6 was built in February of 2006, making it 12 years old this month. It doesn’t complain as much as most other 12-year-olds, so I’d say it’s doing a pretty good job.
Bought this Orient watch the other day. Black/red/olive strap from Crown & Buckle. It sorta matches my Miata, right down to the red accent on the second hand/brake calipers.
Here’s the actual article if you’re interested. Pre-1996 vehicles will no longer be required to get emissions tests in Maryland, which seems pretty reasonable to me.
Made a detour into a big empty church parking lot on the way to work this morning for my Speed6's first snownuts. It did real real good.
Wheelerguy requested some photos of some Gr.B cars in Gran Turismo Sport for his birthday, and I was only too happy to oblige. First up, the Toyota 86.
Yesterday 「RT」 requested some shots of the 2015 Jaguar F-Type R in Japan for his pal, and some shots of various road cars in urban settings for himself. If you have any requests for photos, let me know! Here’s a list of the cars in the game.
This morning, Wheelerguy requested some photos of some specific cars in GT Sport. I was happy to oblige! Let me know if any of you have other requests. Here’s a list of the cars in the game. I don’t have all of them unlocked yet, but I have most of them.
Lancia Delta HF (Integrale??). Not sure which exact model this is, but based on the fender flares I think it’s an Integrale? Regardless, very very cool car to show up to the Lafayette, CO Cars & Coffee yesterday.
Seen as I was leaving the house this morning to head to work. Left Hand Utes is based here in Denver, so I’ve actually seen a few of these on the streets. My neighbor just down the block is going to have some fun with this one I imagine.
Last month I attended the 6 Hours of COTA in Austin. This was my first circuit race experience, so I figured I ought to make it memorable. I decided to shoot photos on my trusty Canon AE-1 SLR. I brought a few different rolls of film and both lenses I own for this camera: a 50mm and a 28mm. Not exactly the ideal…
I’ve qualified on pole and won a race on each day of the limited-time demo so far! Some of this may have to do with the fact that it’s a free demo with lots of yahoos who don’t know how to drive properly.
