Sunday is here again, time for another Lesney Matchbox model. Today we examine Matchbox 12b, the Land Rover Series II. This casting entered the range in 1959, remaining until 1965, when it was replaced with another Land Rover. This model may seem familiar to the observant, but it is different:

Tomica time, Land of the Rising Sun-day is here again. After 80s overload last week, we take a step back in time. Today we examine Tomica 31-1, the Toyota EX-7. This casting entered the range in May 1972, remaining until January 1980. As one can see, this is quite a unique vehicle:

We have arrived at my final entrant for Radcast. This is Tomica 33-4, the Toyota Celica XX 2800 GT. This casting entered the range in April 1982, remaining until May 1986, and is a nice piece of wedgy 80s goodness:

My third Radcast entrant today is a cult item then and now. This is Tomica 23-3, the Toyota Sprinter Carib. This casting entered the range in June 1983, and is a very distinctive vehicle:

My second Radcast entry today features a car with wood trim - Radwood. Is it rad? You can be the judge. This is Tomica 34-3, the Honda Civic Country. This casting entered the range in February 1981, remaining until August 1984, and is a popular model to this day:

Day two of Radcast starts with another American machine that leaves no doubt of its time. Today we start off with Tomica 45-2, the Cadillac Seville. This casting entered the range in February 1981, and is an excellent model of a controversial design:

My final review of the day (more coming tomorrow) is another of the “ordinary” cars of the type I have always enjoyed in diecast form. This is Tomica 32-4, the Toyota Corolla sedan. This casting entered the range in October 1983, and is just the kind of car anyone would have seen every day from 1984 onward:

My third submission to Radcast is something different, a Hot Wheels. This is the Hot Wheels 380SEL with Real Riders. This vatiant was introduced around 1983, and is a representation of the 80s in a few ways:

My second entry for Radcast is another Tomica, but the similarities to the prior review end there. This is Tomica 61-3, the Toyota Hilux 4WD. This casting entered the range in May 1981, and represents a new movement:

My opening presentation for Radcast is something that couldn’t be more 80s. This is Tomica F34-2, the Camaro Z28. This casting entered the range in February 1983, remaining until February 1985 - a relatively short run. Not many cars represent the era like this:
