Lesney Matchbox time is here again, this installment concluding the current batch of unboxed Matchbox. Today we examine Matchbox 35a, the ERF Marshall Horsebox. This casting entered the range in 1957, remaining until 1964, and is something of a bookend to the 35a reviewed in the past:

Land of the Rising Sun-day, Tomica time is here again. Today we examine an iconic vehicle everyone should recognize. This is Tomica 2-2, the Toyota Land Cruiser. This casting entered the range in May 1975, remaining until August 1979, and there is no mistaking what it is:

Lesney Matchbox time is upon us again, time for a review similar to one from some time ago. This is Matchbox 27a, the Bedford Low Loader. This casting entered the range in 1956, remaining until 1958, when it was replaced by the larger and nearly identical 27b. It’s a classic example of a casting from the early years:

Lesney Matchbox time is here again, and time again for something some may remember. This is Matchbox 27c, the Cadillac Sixty Special. This casting entered the range in 1960, remaining until 1966, and is a shining example of a golden age for Lesney products:

Tomica time is here again, and again this is Land of the Rising Sun-day via the maker of this model. Today we examine Tomica F39-1, the McLaren M26 Ford. This casting entered the range in January 1978, remaining until December 1980, and is a nice example of a classic F1 car:

Today was the annual Mercedes-Benz Club gathering for this region. I hit the road this morning and took the old dear up to the Nile Shrine golf course to see some old friends and some unusual cars. I think around 70 cars were in attendance, not bad.
